In partnership with the Jaude media library

VIDEOFORMES, the International Festival of Digital Art joins the Jaude Media Library to offer its public a visit in two parts : a journey into the heart of video and digital arts history – from Nam June Paik to Imaginary Systems – and an immersion inside a work created, in world premiere for the VIDEOFORMES 2019 Festival, during an artist-in-residency.

This guided tour will be an opportunity to (re) discover a historical work, Nam June Paik’s TV Buddha, the “father” of video art and recent or new works by artists who write the history of digital art today. During this visit will be discussed the conditions of creation of digital works, the processes of digital artists, as well as the principle of an artist-in-residency and its development. Questions about artist -in-esidencies will be discussed in relation to the work created by Agnès Guillaume during her residence VIDEOFORMES 2019 – with the support of Clermont Auvergne Métropole and DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
